World Winner Is a Scam

by Greg Johnson
(Los Angeles, California)

This company is a complete scam. They claim that you can get paid to play games as well as earn money participating in tournaments.

This seemed to be true at first. However, once I earned over $15 they deleted my account.

I tried logging in and it said that my account had been banned. I gave them on reason at all to ban my account.

All I did was play online games for cash on their website. Once I won a few bucks they just disqualified my account for no reason.

I emailed the world winner support staff about this 4 times. I still have yet to this day have not got a email back.

So I'm guessing that they did not have a legitimate reason besides that fact that they owed me some money.

If I would have owed them/other gamers money I probably would still have my account.

World Winner is obviously a scam website that advertises to people that they can make money playing games but they refuse to pay up when you earn some money.

Save yourself some time and do not EVER sign up for an account with this company unless you want to waste your time and money.

I signed up with world winner because I saw a lot of websites promoting it as a good online money maker. Do not believe the hype.

I have dealt with it and there is nothing to be gained from this website. Take it from someone who has been there and lost money.

Thanks a Lot
by: Justin, Site Owner

Wow, that is great and honest review. I ran into this myself not too long ago with World Winner. They banned my account after getting lots of referrals from one of my websites.

I had earned over $150.00 from referrals and was expecting a check for that month. My account was deleted as well just days prior to me being paid.

So I took it off the website. I am so glad you have had experience with this company and decided to report this as a scam. It definitely is.

Very accurate and true
by: Anonymous

I used to play WorldWinner games, but I played on the site SkillJam. WW bought out SkillJam and thats when things went downhill.

I became very good at several games and could win about $300/week (yeah I played a lot). When Worldwinner took over, I found that they would ban my accounts when I reached around $50 gain and I'd have no way to withdraw the funds I had won.

Their response was that "I had become too skilled" and that it was discouraging new players from playing those games. When asked why my funds were taken away, they claimed they had the right to ban me for any reason on their disclaimer and that it also meant the funds were no longer accessible. This was waaaay back in 2007. I see they have not changed much.

WORLDWINNER DOES NOT COUNT THE MONEY YOU'VE WON FROM THE GAMES AND IN TURN PLAYED MORE GAMES. THEY ONLY PAY TAXES ON YOUR ORIGINAL DEPOSIT.

WorldWinner Scam
by: Anonymous

Worldwinner is a complete and total rip-off.

First, they discourage players from playing each other on a head-to-head basis because they try to funnel everybody into their 'tournaments'.

The tournaments are won by the same players every day of the week, month, and year. Regular players have no chance of winning.

When a person forfeits a challenge or declines a challenge from another player, that money is refunded in CREDITS. They basically steal your cash are give you CREDIT in return. Then, when you play future games, the entry fee is not taken out of CREDITS like an honest and reputable company would do. Instead of using available credits to play new games, they steal your real cash first. This is a scam and should be ILLEGAL!

Don't play at worldwinner.

There used to be a time when a player could find a fair match and play head-to-head with players in the same skill level. Not anymore. Worldwinner would rather have everyone enter the same tournaments where losing is GUARANTEED! What a RIPOFF!

It's not a scam
by: Monica

I've been playing in worldwinner for years, I enjoy it a lot!! I've earned money, and got paid. Even got the tax forms sent to my home (which was a surprise for me since I live in Mexico). Well let me tell you, it is NOT a scam, if you win, they pay. If you request your payment, they send it to your paypal account soon enough.

But mind you, this is NOT a site to earn money like in a PTC or something. It is not some kind of online job, it's more like a casino. Take it as games in which you can win some prize money if you are good. Thatś all!

Best regards

Worldwinner
by: Christina

Too bad it is a scam. I like the games and the premise alot. In 2009 I got a tax bill for $45,000 worth of TAXABLE income (along with my own job of about 20k) can you say nex tax bracket. But I never withdrew one dime. Some people justify it by saying WW is like a casino, but when I play slot at the casino and put $1.00 in the machine and get it up to $5 no one says oh you HAD $1.10 you had 2.20 you COULD have cashed out therefore you EARNED 3 or 4 bucks and we are now gonna tax you on each roll. BS!!! HATE HATE the way these guys are set up. BTW I deposited a total of $1300 over one year. I withdrew nothing. But yet somehow I had $45,000??? Trust me if I had it I would have known.

Worldwinner is run by the CROOKS
by: Anonymous

Ive been on worldwinner for over a year... here is the list of problems Ive encountered.

1. Win 4 times...lose 7 ( over and over )
2. When Im just about to win a good pot.. game disconnects with a problem.
3. Hit highest score ever but beaten by a few points several times.
4. Made it to the silver level and benefits were not given to me in thier entirety.
5. Amazing to me how many times Ive played games that someone else hits 200,000 points and I have to give it all I got just to make it to 90,000
6. Ive put 30.00 or 40.00 on a pre-paid credit card... I deposit 10.00 at a time to play, but at some point find out 10.00 comes up short on the card that Ive never even played. And thats happened 3 or 4 times... Im sick of it. The most Ive ever won is 30.00 which took them a week to put back on my card, and then spent as fast as I could because I was afraid it would disappear mysteriously.

Worldwinner is a thief
by: Ezgoing222@hotmail.com

Worldwinner never tells you that it charges $3.95 a month to host your account and then can siphon off all the money in it if you don't play for a few months. I lost $22 because I didn't play for six or seven months. I was informed by the company that it would give me a one-time game credit of $20 but the money could not be returned. It's too bad there are such predators online at what could be fun place to play games. If anyone knows where I can lodge a complaint, please let me know: Ezgoing222@hotmail.com.

Not a scam, just banned in the US
by: Rick Cannedy

Gambling in any way online is against the law in all 50 states of the US. So of course this company would accept your money to play but when you earn money, and ask for a pay out, they then decide to investigate where you live. They should do this when you sign up, but they dont. So thats why all these US accounts get banned or deleted, and anyone that has gotten paid does not live in the US....

They Aren't a Scam But...
by: Amish69

What they are is a MISMANAGED COMPANY THAT DOESN'T have a clue!

I've earned a few hundred dollars a month over the years being a top player in Royal Flush and pretty good at several others.

They got rid of player to player cash challenges and that right there is JUST plain dumb. There fair matching system is a joke so, don't expect to win a dime unless you are the BEST of the BEST in a game - which you'll never get a chance to be because before you can get good you'll lose all your money in Division I do the fair matching system.

So, is the site a scam - kinda - are they going downhill from where they once were? ABSOLUTELY.

Scam or Not
by: Anonymous

Is it a scam or not? That is the question.

I have been playing worldwinner for roughly a year. I have won a few small tournaments. Nothing big. I have never withdrawed any money mostly because i really never made a lot to withdraw. I won quite a bit with bejewled blitz but lost just as much. Now i can understand how people feel cheated especially when you lose by a few points. BUT! I have won by a few points as well. I do feel like you can get really good at a particular game and win some but be ready to lose as well.

Its just like the casino. The odds are you are going to win and going to lose. There is no getting around it. If you play? Play for fun not to win money because it will only make you angry like those posted above. I don't feel like they are scaming the players. I do not play on that website anymore mostly because i don't like wasting money but it is fun and i did enjoy it.

I played WW for about 1 1/2 years mainly for fun, last month I made it to the silver level with the credits earned and a 10 $ deposit. On 2.8. I find my account closed and my 2 mails sent to receive a reason for closing the account are unanswered.

WORLD WINNER, NOW & THEN
by: GREYBIKER

Hello.
This is my first time seeing this site.
I've read the comments on your board, and I agree with what you say about the world winner gameing site.
I became a member of world winner around 6 years ago.
I love the 8 ball game and the interactive commraderie I used to have with other players.
It used to be that at a curtain time of night, you would get the same group of people that you would have your own tournaments every night.
It was real fun and WW always got paid. Everyone was happy.
I met some nice people there that I still E-mail to, so as to keep in touch.
That was then. They now changed ownership, thier computer system, the games and the format of the games.
They droped 8 ball all together and I don't have any fun with WW anymore.
The computer graghics stink now and any return of moneys lost due to thier error is worse than trying to tell a polatician how to do the job we voted him in for.
I myself, have switched over to GAME DUELL and am having a ball with them.
They seem to be like WW used to be only better.
I didn't play at WW for almost a year now, and they sent me an E-mail giving me $50 in free money to try and make me come back.
I tryed again and am so disapionted in their new site that I'm going to let the money run out by itself and never play with them again

Definitely a shady operation
by: Anonymous

I was a WW player for years. But there is one game that WW refused to update or change with the evolving technologies (newer and faster computers for example.)

So I, along with a handful of other players in this game, started submitting refund requests for game errors after weeks of trying to get WW to do something about all the glitches and errors inherent in the game. They never did respond. So refunds were the next step.

This worked for a couple of months before WW decided to deny any further refund requests and stated in an email to me that they are aware the game has issues, but because very very few people request refunds in this game, I must have the problem. They also stated they have no plans at this time to upgrade or fix this game.

Meanwhile, this game stays on the site and continues to rip people off due to the errors. If you're not on their list to be denied refunds, you may get lucky and get some of your money back but if you do it repeatedly, you too will be added to the listed of denied refunds.

Instead of taking responsibility for a game that is clearly cheating people out of a fair competition, WW just censors certain people, shuts them out of refunds, and denies any wrongdoing (despite clearly admitting the game does have issues.)

Stay away. And if you do have problems, put in refund requests over and over until WW gets sick of you. Keep documentation and records.

If enough people would stop kissing WW's butt on their forum and spent time actually requesting refunds and keeping records and filing complaints, WW would have no choice but to do something about it. But too many folks either don't care or are too lazy and accept the site as it is.

Well, I was on my way to the "WorldWinner" site and decided to read these posts first. Oh my, what a eye opener here. I just signed up yesterday but didn't play until just today.
Guess I won't be playing there now. Thank you all for the save here. Perhaps I will check out the site "Game Duell" that was mentioned here. We all work very hard for our money and enjoy our down time which is for me playing games online without costing us too much to enjoy. Donna in Canada

Yeah I said it...THEY SUCK! I was incredibility good at some of their games. With a deposit of $20, I made roughly $285 (potentially) within 2 days. I had the top high across multiple tourneys. WorldWinner is NOT a scam NEW
by: Jacob Rothenberg

I can understand those who have lost money through WorldWinner and feel a need to vent someplace -- and rightfully so. However, WorldWinner is NOT a scam site; you CAN win money from it and be successful in the long term. I've personally won thousands from the site, by carefully studying strategies needed to be successful in the company's respective games and improving my gameplay as I moved up the ranks.

This probably sounds like a paid employee trying to uphold WorldWinner's reputation, but I am in no way employed by WorldWinner. If anyone reading this wants to learn how to WIN from WorldWinner (legally), check out my site & forum.

Seems like a scam NEW
by: bb

I have been playing for free and accumulated a lot of points with their special offers. Then to get at the points to use them, you need to make a $20 deposit and sign up for paid games.

I was wary of sending them money, so I checked out any complaints first. It seems too good to be true that someone will pay you for winning games. Even the casinos are rigged so that the house wins and the playters lose in the long run.

If gambling is illegal, maybe both patries can get in trouble if someone tries to report them, say to the FCC, which regulates internet usage.

I guess it is fun if you just want to play for free, but once you lured into paying money, it looks like you won't be able to collect. I think the Federal Gaming Commission oversees bad casino operations.

I don't think I will be sedning them money, because I will be very mad if they rip me off.

I was "banned" for trying to reopen an account that I closed, after realizing I couldn't play the free games anymore, even though I could play them before the cash account. They won't return my emails. I'm dropping the whole thing. They are crooks in my book. Yes, I won 50.00 from them, but since then can't win even one game.. ridiculous.. amazing how you go from winning every game to winning none! I am staying far away from WW.
